St James the Greater has, in addition to the main church building, a number of halls that are available for hire for various events, both regular and one-off
The Church
The church building itself is usually hired out for concert use (although exhibitions and other events are considered).
Maximum seating capacity is 486 covering all areas. In the nave of the church there are 238 cream seats. An additional 168 blue folding fabric chairs are available for side aisle seating 3/4 abreast. These are subject to certain conditions and fire limits. An additional 80 blue plastic chairs are available for performers positioned on the staging/floor for orchestra. Staging is available in various formats. The maximum seating capacity will vary depending on staging format and orchestral required area.
The Halls
There are three halls available for hire. The Main hall with full kitchen facilities, the Undercroft with full kitchen facilities and the Small Hall (Ashman Music Room) with tea and coffee making facilities.
