A SPIRITUAL HOME FOR THE ARTS

The Church of St James the Greater, Leicester, has been home to great music for over 80 years. Whether it is contemplative organ music played before a service or a resounding hymn of praise sung by the whole congregation, music has the ability to enrich our worship and praise of God. At St James's, all are encouraged to participate in this important part of worship.

SERVICES

The prime reason for music at St James the Greater is, of course, the praise of God. At almost all of the services, the music is lead by at least one of the choirs as well as the organ

CHOIRS

St James the Greater is one of the few Parish Churches in the country that still manage to maintain the English Choral Tradition of Church Music. There are two choirs which combine or sing individually - The Boys, Girls and ATB Choir and the St James' Singers.
